Boost your PC speed at startup

One of the reasons that your PC runs slowly at startup or takes longer time to boot is because you have far too many programs running at startup. So reducing the programs that run at startup makes your PC relatively faster. Therefore, to change the items that runs at startup, follow the below steps.

 

For windows 7

Step 1 - > Go to Run using the Windows logo key + R. 
Step 2 - > Inside the Run window, type “msconfig” without the quotes.
Step 3 - > Another small window will be displayed. 
Step 4 - > Select the startup tab.
Step 5 - > Now, you’ll be able to turn off any startup program. Select the program you wish to disable and finally click on the Disable button.


For Windows 8 & Above

Step 1 - > Open task manager using Alt + Ctrl + Del. 
Step 2 - > Task manager window will appear. Select the Startup tab.
Step 3 - > Select the program you wish to disable and finally click on the Disable button.

Note: Make sure you are turning off only the programs you have installed. Don’t turn-off / disable system processes that are needed by third party programs or drivers you have installed.
